A Tailor-Made Problem-Solving Approach

RainMakers Private Equity is unique among advisors in the private equity ecosystem. Rather than pushing for private placement or secondary advisory services, we focus on identifying problems encountered by GPs and LPs, and bringing a market solution to those problems, by structuring ad hoc transactions.

Rather than positioning ourselves by size or sector of transactions, we like to listen to new situations our clients or prospective clients are facing, and see if we can create value with the specific situation at hand.

Size: We don’t have a preferred size of transaction. No transaction is too small or too large for us. If we believe that a transaction is feasible, and it creates value for all parties, we would like to work on it.

Sector: We are sector-agnostic, and have worked with funds and their portfolio companies operating in a variety of sectors such as IT, Biothech, Manufacturing, , Oil and Gas, Transportation, Insurance, etc.

Segment: We have worked with funds operating in a variety of segments, including early stage or late stage venture capital, growth capital , small buy-out, mid-market buy-out funds.

Geography: We don’t have a set geographic preference, although most of our dealflow in the past has been in North America and Europe.

We have built our success in structuring transactions using a problem-solving approach. We have distinguished ourselves through our market expertise, creativity and innovation. We have built a reputation for timeliness, discretion and integrity.

Excellence in the Process: We know our market. We never “over-shop” a deal, because we know which parties are most interested in a given profile of a transaction. We only show a deal to a select number of highly qualified potential investors. As a result, a transaction presented by RainMakers always captures full attention of potential investors to whom it is shown.

Excellence in the Documentation In a complex transaction, a large amount of unstructured information thrown at potential investors will create even more challenges to the transaction. By focusing on the quality of the information that is provided, our documentation provided all the information that is necessary for the transaction, not more, and not less. The quality of the documentation is also key to protect sellers’ value throughout the process, to facilitate legal execution of a deal and avoid any potential legal complications after its completion.
