Jim Soleymanlou
, Founder and Managing Partner

Jim Soleymanlou is the Founder and Managing Partner of RainMakers, bringing a substantial track record of creative deal making.
Jim started his career in 1988 as a derivatives technologist, working with Sophis and Société Générale CIB, developing interest rates and equity derivatives trading and risk management models.
From 1994 to 2003, Jim held senior management positions at companies such as Opt4 Derivatives in Berkeley, California, as well as Login SA and SunGard in Paris, France.
In 2003-04, Jim served as an Expert Witness for the French Department of Justice.
Jim holds a MSc in Computer Science from University of Paris VI, and an MBA from University of Chicago..

Chris Bonnet
, Vice President

Chris Bonnet has worked in the investment banking industry since 1998. Prior to joining RainMakers, Chris co-founded two advisory firms, one in Montreal the other in San Francisco. He also held senior positions at Desjardins Securities and Groome Capital, in Montreal, Canada, overseeing the equity research department for technology and Internet stocks. During the past 20 years, Mr. Bonnet formed a number of companies in the areas of consulting, retail/distribution and media.
Chris received his Executive MBA from Concordia University in Montreal.

 

Olivia Park, Associate

Olivia joined RainMakers after working as an Analyst at Michel Dyens & Co, a boutique investment bank that provides M&A Corporate Advisory services in Paris and New York. While at Michel Dyens & Co, Olivia specialized in the Life Sciences / Biotechnology industry.
Prior to that, Olivia worked at the M&A Corporate Advisory division of Evercore Partners in New York as a Research Analyst.
Olivia holds a BA in Economics from New York University.
